In my magazine fishing Sarasota i made some changes from my first draft. The first thing that I change was the picture on the cover, it was out of proportion and I fixed it and now it looks more professional. Then for the other 3 pages I originally had them with a light blue background but I turned it white to save money in the production process. On the table of contents I made the pictures larger so there wasn't as much blank spaces. On the first page of the article I made the pictures larger to fill in more blank spaces in my magazine. The on the final page I did another photo shoot to get more of a diversity of pictures and to fill in more blank space in my magazine.

Technology was a very important in creating my magazine called Fishing Sarasota. In the production of my magazine technology was used from the very beginning to the end. In the beginning of my project I did lots of research online about the production of a magazine versus the production of a film opening and I research popular magazines to get an idea of what I should produce. Then I began the magazine production processes and used some software like Microsoft excel and publisher. I used excel to create a spread sheet for my flat plan. Then after I got a outline for my magazine I began to produce it using publisher. When I started using publisher I could only do limited edits to my magazine. Then I did research in how to edit using publisher and now I can edit a magazine a lot better than I used to.Then after I Finally finished editing my magazine I began to research online into how to distribute my magazine. When I began this project and came up with the idea for a magazine I knew very little about the magazine production process. Know After I have created mt own magazine and done lots of research I now know a lot more about the magazine production process. I used Microsoft publisher to produce my magazine and I knew vary little about how to use it. I learned how to make tittles for your magazine and find a font and size that catches the readers attention but isn't to distracting from the whole magazine. I also learned how to maximize the amount of content that I can fit on a page with out being overwhelming. There is a lot of time and thought that has to go into when taking picture for your magazine. If it is a picture that it is outside you have to wait for the conditions to be right. There also needs to be a diversity of pictures in your magazine. The pictures then have to be fit perfectly into your magazine and not be disproportionate or cover up text. The Magazine that my group produced is called Fishing Sarasota. The audience of our magazine is going to mainly be people who are living in the Sarasota Florida area or planing on visiting. Our magazine is very engaging with our audience because since we focus on a small area we can write about fishing reports from specific areas that lots of people in Sarasota fish and will read the article. We also have articles from local charter boat captains that helps our audience or people who are planing to visit that are not experienced with fishing to find a charter to take them fishing. we also include a tide table in the back of the magazine that is essential for anyone that fishes in saltwater. Our magazine is only going to be published four times a year so we want to make sure that it gets distributed widely across Sarasota. The name of my magazine is fishing Sarasota and it is focused specifically on the Sarasota Florida area. The magazine is also only produced 4 times a year for each season this helps because we only focus on the Sarasota area so if we published once a month we would run out of stuff to write about. This is a lot different than normal outdoors magazine that publish once a month and focus on a broader area like all of Florida. The content of my magazine is in the same general format as other outdoor magazines. I noticed that most outdoor fishing magazine include a how to section that teaches how to tie knots and other stuff, so I included a how to section in my magazine. I also noticed that other magazines included articles that were written by charter boat captains that fish almost everyday and have lots of experience. When you go to Saltwater Sportsman's website they have several tabs that will take you to Boats, Gear, How-to, travel, Photos, videos, newsletter. The website almost acts like a trailer to what is going to be in there magazine. They put short article like you would find in there magazine but they don't go in depth like the magazine does. This is effective because it allows the reader to view the magazine and most likely encourage them to subscribe to the magazine. They also have a tab were you can subscribe to there magazine. They also have some adds on there website so they are making money form the adds on there website. They also have social media sites like Facebook that post the almost the same articles that are on there website. having a Facebook page is effective because that magazine can post an article on Facebook and people can share it which allows new people to find the magazine.
